When my heart is in this state of turmoil, I am left to pick of the pieces and try to fragment together a cohesive thought process.
People near and dear to my heart are hurting. Physically. Emotionally. And spiritually.
And that pain causes my heart to break. Into pieces. And what is left in the midst of those pieces is prayer. For it is in a state of brokenness, that I find myself on my knees and pleading to the One to put everything back together again. Like only He knows how.
'Carry each other's burdens, and in this way
you will fulfill the law of Christ.'
Galatians 6:2
Have you ever found yourself bearing the burdens of someone you love?
That is the place that I have found myself the past week. And let me tell you. I've never been more joyful. Joyful. Full of joy.
Why, you might ask?
Because it is my extreme pleasure to help shoulder the weight of such heavy burdens. These loved ones. These people. They are my people. They are ones that hold such a tight grip on my heart that there is no greater joy than sharing in their trials. They have shared in mine. And they have lightened a load that near broke me.
What better way to repay the favor than to lighten their load.
'So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.
There we will receive his mercy, and
we will find grace to help us when we need it most.'
Hebrews 4:16
Tonight, we will join together with some of our brothers and sisters in Christ. A group of us are coming together to boldly approach the Throne to ask for supernatural healing for one of our people, knowing and believing that as we ask, He is able to do abundantly and immeasurably more than anything we could ask or imagine.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more
than all we ask or imagine, according to his power
that is at work within us'
Ephesians 3:20
Immeasurably more than we could imagine. Yes, Lord. Do it.
