Eight years ago a sweet baby girl changed the way I looked at the world. She was the first niece, the first granddaughter. The sweet baby that stole my heart. She is my Stink.
I remember speeding home from Clemson so that I wouldn't miss her grand entrance into the world. And I spent many years speeding back from Clemson to see her. I couldn't get enough of her. Still can't.
She's a Tiger fan. She's an excellent reader. She's a exceptional student. She loves to watch movies. She loves to swim. She loves spending time with her family.
She has a caring heart. A heart that had to be patched at such a young age. But a heart of gold, through and through. A heart that loves everyone and truly cares about people's feelings. A heart that loves to give a compliment rather than receive one. A giving heart. A heart that I try to emulate.
She gives love freely. Hugs, kisses and 'I love yous' flow from her like sweet honey. And the tears flow like rivers at her sincerity.
She's a protective big sister. She's a doting cousin. She's a nurturer. It's in her nature.
Yesterday we celebrated 8 years of a precious life. A girl that, no doubt, has loved more in her eight years than most people do their entire lives. A girl that will always hold a special piece of my heart. After all, she is who made me an aunt.
Stink, Aunt Jess loves you more than words! I am more and more impressed with the young lady you are becoming. Keep loving and giving and caring, sweet girl!
