it's been a week full of mondays. which may explain why i am cozy in the bed at 7:30 on a friday night.
but regardless of all the work demands, all day i've been thinking of you. you who come right over to my house spent and tired as the day is long. you who visit regularly. and those who stumbled upon my house by accident. you who are in desperate need of a good cup of coffee and an ear to listen. you who needs encouragement poured over your quaking heart. and you who aren't quite sure why you come, but you leave feeling welcome. {at least, i hope you feel welcome at my house!}
here is what my heart yearns to know.
what do you feel is your purpose?
did you know that you were set apart? even before you were ever born?
you, my lovely friend, are set apart. on purpose. long before you were born, no matter how many years you have enjoyed or have yet to enjoy, God placed a purpose deep within you. something only you can fulfill for the kingdom.
do you know what that thing is? that desire that burns deep in middle of your soul?
if you haven't figured out your purpose, dig in to your passion. for your passion will lead you right into your purpose. every single time.
i have discovered that those things that have scarred our hearts or cut us to the quick tend to be the very things we are most passionate about.
all the years wasted on believing i didn't measure up to her. or i wasn't as pretty or stylish or skinny as her. they were not years wasted. because all of those misguided beliefs have lead me here. to the place where i want to pour out His truth into the hearts of women who believe the same lies.
friend, listen closely. if you aren't sure of your purpose, what is your passion? my ears are listening. i'll even pour you a cup of coffee so we can relish in the precious moments of friendship.
share with me, won't you? you can find me on facebook or twitter. or you can leave a comment here. either way, i want to know the passion that burns deep in your heart. the very thing that keeps you up at night.
for we are his workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand,
that we should walk in them.
