I AM that crazy mama that measures your accomplishments in months. I venture to say that I will stop doing this at some point. Maybe.
You are a full-fledge toddler this days. The only moments that you still feel like an itty-bitty baby {instead of a growing, thriving toddler} are those night time snuggles with your bottle. We still do bath, book, bottle and bed. In that order. Eventually, we will drop the night time bottle soon, but I'm still holding on to that part of our routine because the snuggles are so, so sweet.
At your last doctor's appointment, which happened to be two weeks ago because you had pink eye, you weighed almost 27 pounds. Ha! You are still a great eater! And you prefer to feed yourself. You hold your spoon in one hand and feed yourself with the other. We will put the two together one of these days.
You are wearing 18-24 months clothes and a size 3 shoe. You are still wearing a size 4 diaper.
You talk a mile a minute. ALL. DAY. LONG. You have even been known to talk in your sleep. You are putting simple phrases together. And you like to point when you are talking. Some of your recent phrases include 'Let's go', 'I happy', 'Take bath', 'My cup' and 'Rock bye baby'.
It has been such a delight to watch you grow and learn each day. You are such a bright baby girl! I pray that your desire to learn only grows stronger and stronger. You do not like the word 'No'. And you have been known to pitch a fit when you hear it. True story.
ATTENTION: Tantrum in progress. My mom won't let me swing from the blinds. |
You love to be outside. You enjoy going on wagon rides, playing at the park, or floating in the swimming pool. You absolutely love the water! I can't wait to take you to the beach this summer!
You also enjoy to drink your morning milk in our bed and watch 'Clifford'. Other than this time, you pay no attention to the TV.
Harper, I love you more and more each day. You bring so much joyto my life! I love you to Heaven and back, my Sweet Petite.
