strolling memory lane

A year ago today I sat in my daughter's room and anticipated her sweet arrival.  I spent the morning rocking in her chair and wondering what she was going to look like.  I anticipated holding her in my arms for the first time and relishing in her beauty.


And I have spent this entire year relishing in the moments with her.  I have lived each moment of this year with passion and excitement and joy.  Pure joy. 


I count this as the best year of my life.  Truly.  Motherhood has changed me.  It is sacrificial and tiring and hard and sweet and loving and exciting all at the same time.  It is what I was called to do. And I pray I do it well. 


My Sweet Petite is the best gift that I have ever been given.  A blessing.  She is the sunshine in my day. 


Tomorrow we celebrate her birthday.  Her 1st birthday. 


But tonight, we stroll down memory lane.  We allow the memories to wash over us fresh.  Like it was just yesterday.  Join as we stroll the lane of Harper's first year.
