mer·cy [noun]
::compassion or forbearance shown especially to an offender::a blessing that is an act of divine favor or compassion
::compassionate treatment of those in distress
Mercy has a way of meeting you in the midst of your day.
Sometimes you have to really search for mercy in the middle of all the chaos.
And sometimes mercy walks right up to you...just so you don't have to seek it out of the crowd.
Sometimes in the most dire of circumstances mercy takes the form of the least likely and extends a warm embrace. And that simple embrace takes hold of your heart and causes you to drop to your knees and praise Jesus.
Mercy found me today.
And I dropped to my knees and thanked my God for showing me mercy. Mercy that is embracing me so tightly that I find it difficult to breath. So I cry. Tears of gratitude. Gratitude because mercy is freely given.
Mercy found me today.
And my heart is overflowing with gratitude.
"Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness.
Let the whole world know what he has done."
1 Chronicles 16:8
Thank you for your lovely post on mercy. May God bless you richly through His great mercy.
ReplyDeleteIsn't mercy one of the hardest to give but one of the most amazing gifts when received. Beautiful words.
